Paige has over fifteen years of experience building the effectiveness of a wide range of organizations. As president of Think Outside (www.ThinkOutside.net), she leads innovative strategy, team and leadership development with nonprofits, government agencies, small businesses, and collaborations. Paige is a systems thinker with an uncanny ability to ask the questions that help organizations think strategically. She has facilitated strategic planning processes for multimillion-dollar organizations; helped start-up volunteer organizations and businesses create their structure and processes; and designed and conducted significant research studies, including the first-ever competency study of leaders facilitating community-building initiatives and the largest survey on nonprofit sector executive transitions. She has also designed and supported the implementation of evaluation systems that allow organizations to gather information about their performance and their impact.
She is a gifted facilitator with an interest in using outdoor experiences and equine assisted growth and learning to create new perspective and breakthroughs in mental models. Paige has an MA in public policy from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in political science from Davidson College, North Carolina.
Denice Rothman Hinden, PhD, President Managance Consulting and Coaching
Denice has more than twenty-five years of experience in nonprofit management, organization development, research, group facilitation, and professional coaching. As president of Managance Consulting & Coaching (www.managance.com), she facilitates bold strategic thinking and planning; business planning; and leader, team, board, and group development, with attention to group process and individual responsibility. The firm’s clients include nonprofits, coalitions, philanthropies, government agencies, libraries, and small businesses.
Denice thinks about organizations holistically, paying attention to the relationship between the identity of an organization - including its mission, vision, core operating values, theory of action, customers and organizational culture, influences in its environment - and operating capacity. Denice is an accomplished facilitator with a track record of asking powerful questions and creating distinct strategies that move organizations and individuals to new levels of success. She was part of the pioneering team that introduced nonprofits to executive transition management.
Denice began her nonprofit sector career as a volunteer crisis counselor on a suicide prevention hotline and later directed the construction and operations of two emergency shelters for runaway and homeless youth in Miami. She is a graduate of CoachU and an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. Denice holds a PhD in public administration from Florida International University, an MS in human services from Nova Southeastern University, and a BA in urban studies and Latin American studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

Paul Sturm, MPA, MS, Educator, Facilitator and Consultant to Nonprofit Organizations
Paul has worked on the cutting edge of nonprofit leadership development and capacity building for more than twenty-five years. He founded and led two organizations nationally recognized for their innovations and outcomes. He has served as consultant to nonprofit and capacity‐building organizations throughout the United States. His groundbreaking article, The Seven Rules of Successful Collaboration, was published in Nonprofit World. Paul has presented workshops on collaboration and peer learning at several national and statewide conferences of nonprofit leaders and capacity builders. He teaches in the Nonprofit Management Program at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and has taught in the Community Studies & Civic Engagement Program at the University of Baltimore. Paul also facilitates the Baltimore Nonprofit Leaders Circles and the Anne Arundel County (MD) Leaders Circle -- and presents workshops for the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Delaware Association of Nonprofit Agencies.
